Backtrack

Saturday - ran in the Frosty 5K - came in at 30 minutes 20 seconds EXACTLY. I'm still a little bummed that I didn't break 30 minutes, but for as freezing as it was, and the little cold I had, I did pretty good. I was TIRED during this race. REALLY tired. Probably because I didn't get a lot of sleep the night before. Note to self - sleep a lot before a race.

Monday - Ran 3.75 miles. I felt really good the whole time. It was really cold, but I kept my pace a tad slower and really enjoyed the run. My legs were a little tight today, but not too bad.

Tuesday - I think I'll go 2.75 today. I have to wait until dave gets home. Haven't decided yet.

wed. - day off.

ouch

So, I ran three miles yesterday and did 3.56 miles today. I was tired today. I wanted to walk SO BAD. But I didn't. Because I had a buddy. My legs feel really tight now. I stretched for a long time.

Short run tomorrow. 2.25 miles. nice and slow. (if she'll let me)

new buddy

So, I now have a running buddy. We ran together for the first time last night. Did I mention that she just ran the dallas half in november? I mean, she is a RUNNER.
She is fast. That was a MUCH faster pace than I normally run by myself, but I enjoyed it (when we weren't going up a hill). we ran 3 miles and I am a little sore today.

If i continue at that pace, then the 10K in february will be cake.

Turkey Trot

I am taking this week off.

But On the turkey trot last thursday, I did not stop the enitre time (yay) and came in at 31 minutes. I am a little disappointed in that but with 20,000 people there, I had to do some serious dodging the crowd for the first 1.5 miles or so. I even had to walk behind some people because there was no where else to go! I had fun and it was great running with so many people - lots of energy to pull from.

There is another 5K next saturday, I think I want to do that one, too. Anyone want to join me??
