3.05 miles today!!!!!!

I have decided that I hate hills. I would not have been able to finish if the last part wasn't downhill. I am super tired now.

And, I got into my goal jeans. they are a hair snug around my waist still, but they fit! Now, I'm not really about the lbs. so much, I just want to work on toning and shedding fat. I no longer care what the scale says since I can fit into all my clothes.

next goal: wear a swim suit with no coverups on bottom and feel comfortable. (haven't felt that way since freshman year of college.) thanks heavens I have 7 months until then!

I ran another 2.25 miles yesterday. It was a little tougher because my legs were tired from the day before, but I'm pretty proud of myself. Today I will do the 30 day shred for some cross training.

I watched the biggest loser this week and one contestant said something that was quite profound. He said, "I am like this because of me. And I am in control of me."

Another contestant said, "Today you can decide to choose differently."

I couldn't have said it better myself. What a way to take control of yourself and your life.

yay me

I ran 2.25 miles yesterday without stopping. AND when I got a little tired, I just slowed my pace down but I could keep going!! That is a HUGE accomplishment for me. H.U.G.E. YAY me!
I have a little less than one month until my first 5K race. I am going to do the turkey trot in downtown dallas and my goal is to not stop and come in at about 30 minutes. under would be GREAT, but 30 minutes is good for me.

I have calculated out a 10K training plan and I could be ready for a 10K by new years.

I ran today. 1.5 miles. It was better than i expected being gone for three weeks but could have been better if I wasn't coughing.

I'm going to be sore tomorrow, I can already feel it.

I hear P90X calling my name for tomorrow.

6 pack abs here I come.

progress pictures

So, as I've said, I've been sick for the last 2 weeks solid. I am at the tail end of the coughing right now but I'll give myself until monday to start working out again. (don't want to cause more coughing because I didn't wait.) I weigh 124 lbs. right now with 4 left to go. Actually, I'm kay with 124 if I could have some more toning and shed some more fat stores. My clothes mostly fit (some are a little snug around the waist), which is pretty good with my third child being not quite 5 months old.

Here are some pictures of me of the before and after. I really notice a difference in my face. I feel like my face has looked fat in all pictures of me the last 4 months and now some of them actually look good.
anyway, with a three week old baby at 143 pounds...
and at my brother's wedding, with an almost 5 month old at 124 pounds...

I've been out for a while. I am sick. I can barely breathe without coughing and I have a fever. NO working out right now until I'm better. Most likely next week. Doing okay with the eating. I'll weigh myself tomorrow and see where I am. I am Super close to my goal - I can tell with the way clothes are fitting.
